Windsocks
Streamers are swirling color ribbons in the sky when used as kite laundry but when used on windsocks - they are a lovely contrast between the windsocks, surrounding scenery and the earth. Depending on the wind, the streamers may hang down nearly perfectly yet shimmer slightly or the entire windsock can be sideways straight edged like a carpenter’s level on a brick wall.
Earlier this week (January 2008), I noticed some glitzy shimmering streamers from a tree as I drove to work and couldn’t tell if it had a shape or design - the wind was blowing and I was trying to drive and watch the road … yesterday, due to traffic, I had the opportunity to be stopped close enough to take a quick peak - I still couldn’t tell - it may just be streamers hanging in the tree - the top was out of sight. I was surprised that the streamers weren’t tangled in the branches to be more of a branch mummy effect than streamers.
