Wind Generators
Driving around the Houston and Katy area, I see many giant 3 glade pinwheels - generally called wind generators. I do not know if the ones I am seeing are actually being used to generate electric power or to pump water - no idea - I do not see a sign … just a pole with it. I do know that some are only decorative and do not power anything, except my imagination and awe at the force of the wind to make them spin as they do as I am driving past them. Some are much prettier than others. Some are very plain to nearly blend into the surroundings not to be noticed - sort of a greyish white color. I am guessing those may be harnessing power because of how plain they are - most of the decorative ones are bright colored to catch the passing glances.
