Wind Chimes
As I write this (January 2008), the wind outside is howling - it is cold and raining as well - I looked outside on the patio about 11 PM - approximately half an hour ago - my patriotic balloon with the spin twist tail was spinning like a top just turned loose on the floor. It was miserable taking the dog outside and then I had to have hot cocoa to warm up as well as turn the heat up from 60 to 70 - I am finally starting to warm up and not feel frozen. Are you asking yourself what all this has to do with wind chimes? 
I can hear one of my neighbors wind chimes quite clearly every so often sitting here in my home office next to the window - I do not know where they are or how close to me but it is only every so often so I do not think they are too close. My two dragonfly wind chimes inside the apartment are just hanging there silently patiently waiting for a breeze to stir them into tinkling music while the wind wails and caterwauls in intermittent screeches outside.
Miss Sugar Plum did not want to play earlier when we went outside - even with her fur - it was not fun out there for her. Last nite before it started getting much colder and with very little wind … she was bouncing around all over the place - she ran one direction until she got to the end of the leash then she would turn and run the exact opposite direction until she was again at the end of the leash and had to stop - she did that about ten minutes until she was exhausted but an extremely happy tired dog. No running tonite - she doesn’t hate the rain or cold but when it is like this, she does her business and is ready to go back inside to get out of the wet cold. I would not want soaked wet fur in this cold wind so I cannot blame her at all!
